Re: Overflow of Players

No problem with that in principle but as the GM currently running in that room, can we please have a house rule regarding un-necessary noise? I'm all for having fun as it's why we are there, but I have noticed that some players tend to get embarrassingly over excited and garrulous in the extreme dur...

Re: Phandelver 24 Sep - Lewis ill

Hi Lewis You missed the fun of meeting glass-staff, the black spider, the mysterious elf/barmaid (you know the one you created a hologram for) an undead beholder, 4 spiders and a few other lower level creatures all in the same area. It started with a fireball cast by the black spider bitch (drow fem...

Re: Rules query - Grappling and it's effects on enemies.

"I was just considering if I wrapped the barbarians arms around some annoying wizard, raging, I'd have advantage in the strength (athletics) contest, right?" Depends on who the 'annoying wizard' is. If it's one who can fly and cast fireballs then you'd better do him before he gets to 5th l...

Re: Lost Mines of Phandelver

Ta for the info Col. Sounds like 5e is going to be an interesting experience compared to previous versions. Looking through the classes I was thinking of going for a bard (never played one before). If there is already one in the party then I'll have a look at something else. As the monsters hit hard...

Re: Lost Mines of Phandelver

Hi Lewis I know EXACTLY how you feel regarding playing clerics in D&D. Every other game I play seems to be a cleric because no-one else has the foresight to include one into the party to enable the fighters, thieves and spell chuckers to do their thing with impunity, knowing that there is always...

Re: Game Set 21st May 2017 - 25th June 2017

Mr B. Please put me down for a place in your game. I'll roll up a character based on the link you've posted. Any idea which character class you are missing? I'd prefer playing something that relies more on brain power than brawn but will adapt to suit the party dynamic. Cheers Backstabapaladin (a.k....

Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay - The temple at the edge of the civilised world

It seems that some insane sky fairy worshippers a hundred years or more ago decided that they would build an all saints (i.e. all old world deities) church close to the chaos wastes with the mission of converting the northern marauders and barbarians to the 'true' faiths of the empire, thus peaceabl...

Re: To the Crew of the Krakens Lady...

Cheers for the consideration when casting THAT particular healing spell Lewis. :D FU will just fly to an elevated level and blast the sh*t out of everything with fire balls, magic missiles and then disrupt undead spells until nothing is left standing......oh wait, I'm at club this sunday and can do ...

What would be in YOUR anti zombie survival kit?

Mmmm, lots to think of. As a list of my top ten I'd go with.... 1. Primary weapon - An AK47, basically for firepower, reliability and availability of ammo. 2. Secondary weapon - Desert Eagle sidearm. These at the ones with 50 calibre bullets, yes? Sweet! 3. Hand to hand weapon - A katana. Long and s...
